The One Million Trees program has been developed by the City of Greater
Geraldton under their '2029 and Beyond' project. The initiative will support the
community to re-vegetate selected areas in the region to provide healthy and
sustainable landscapes.
Utilising the experience of Men of the Trees in Geraldton and local community volunteers, a
program of growing and planting native trees and understory plants is underway.
The community has helped develop ideas for environmental education and
improvement of local biodiversity
